Fair chores without the arguments
Chore roulette turns “why do I always have to do the dishes?” into a game. The wheel starts with twenty common household jobs — dishes, trash, vacuuming, laundry, bathroom sink, pets, plants and more. Each person spins once (or a few times), and whatever lands is theirs. Because the result is visibly random, kids and roommates are much more likely to accept it.
For a full weekly rota, tick Remove winner after each spin so each chore is assigned only once, and keep spinning until the wheel is empty. You can also flip the setup: put family members’ names on the wheel and spin once per chore. Save your household’s wheel so it is ready every Saturday morning — it stays on your device and isn’t shared with anyone.
How to use the Chore Roulette
- Edit the list so it matches the chores in your home.
- Each person presses Spin the wheel in turn.
- Chores are removed as they are assigned (you can untick this option).
- Save the wheel and reuse it every week.
Frequently asked questions
How do I assign chores fairly with a wheel?
Keep “Remove winner after each spin” on and let people take turns spinning until every chore is taken. Everyone gets the same chance at the easy jobs.
Can I spin names instead of chores?
Yes. Replace the entries with people’s names and spin once for each chore on your list.
Can kids use it on a tablet?
Yes — the wheel is touch-friendly and big buttons make it easy for children to spin.
