Privacy policy
Short version: your entries stay in your browser. We don’t have accounts, and we don’t sell data.
What stays on your device
Names, lists and settings you type into a wheel or generator are processed entirely in your browser. When you save a wheel, choose dark mode or mute sounds, the setting is stored in your browser’s local storage on your device only. You can delete it at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Share links
When you press Share, your wheel’s title and entries are encoded into the link itself. Anyone with the link can see those entries, so don’t share links containing personal information you want to keep private.
Server logs
Like every website, our web server records standard technical logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested page and time) to keep the service secure and working. Logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify individual visitors.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are used and how the site performs. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type; it never receives the entries you type into a wheel or generator. You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and learn more at how Google uses cookies in advertising. Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown.
Children
WhimWheel is used in classrooms, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. No account or personal details are needed to use any tool.
Your rights and contact
Because we don’t store your entries, there is usually nothing for us to access or delete. For any privacy question, email hello@whimwheel.com.
