A wheel of numbers and a generator in one place
This page gives you two ways to pick numbers. The random number wheel is a colorful wheel of numbers that ticks and slows down before landing — perfect for classrooms, raffles and game nights where the drama matters. The random number generator below is the fast option: set any minimum and maximum (negative numbers included), choose how many numbers you need, keep or allow repeats, and sort the results.
Both tools use your browser’s cryptographically secure randomness, so every number in your range has exactly the same chance. To change the wheel, edit its entries or load one of the ready-made ranges below — each has its own page with probability facts, like the odds of a repeat or of picking an even number. Popular choices include 1 to 10, 1 to 100 and 1 to 6 for a quick dice roll.
How to use the Random Number Generator
- For the wheel: edit the numbers in the entry list (one per line) or keep 1–10, then press Spin the wheel.
- For instant results: set Min and Max in the generator and press Generate.
- Set How many numbers and tick No repeats for unique lottery-style draws.
- Use one of the ready-made ranges below for a pre-filled wheel and the odds for that range.

How the random number wheel works
The wheel divides a circle into equal slices, one per number. When you spin, a secure random number decides the final landing angle before the animation starts; the easing curve only controls how the wheel slows down, never where it stops. Because every slice is the same size, every number is equally likely. With more than about 100 numbers the labels become too small to read, so the generator is a better fit for big ranges.
Frequently asked questions
Is the random number wheel fair?
Yes. All slices are equal and the stopping point comes from a cryptographically secure random number, so each number has the same probability.
Can I pick numbers without repeats?
Yes. Tick No repeats in the generator, or Remove winner on the wheel, to make sure each number is drawn only once.
Can I use negative numbers or big ranges?
Yes. The generator accepts any whole numbers, including negatives and ranges in the millions.
How do I make a wheel of numbers from 1 to 50?
Open the 1–50 page for a ready-made wheel, or type the numbers into this wheel’s entry list — one per line.
