A random animal for every idea
This random animal generator picks from a curated list of 194 real animals, each labelled with its group: 88 mammals, 36 birds, 16 reptiles, 8 amphibians, 18 fish, 14 insects and 14 other invertebrates such as octopuses, jellyfish and tarantulas. Filter to one group when you need, say, a random bird for a lesson, or keep it on All for maximum surprise — from aardvark and axolotl to wombat and zebra.
Artists use it for daily drawing practice, teachers for “animal of the day” research projects and classification games, writers for animal companions and shapeshifter forms, and families for charades and twenty questions. Send your results to the animal wheel to spin between them, or generate one animal and challenge the group to name three facts about it.
