Every die in your bag, in one roller
This dice roller replaces a full set of polyhedral dice. Pick a die, choose how many to roll (up to twenty), add a modifier and press roll: you’ll see every die, the total and a history of recent rolls. It’s built for tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder, board games that need a d6 when the dice go missing, and maths lessons on probability.
For d20 rolls, switch to Advantage or Disadvantage to roll twice and keep the higher or lower result. Each die has its own page with a probability table and notes on how it’s used in games — the d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20. Every roll uses your browser’s secure random number generator, so results are fair and nothing is sent to a server.

Dice notation explained
Tabletop games write dice as NdS+M: roll N dice with S sides and add M. For example, 2d6+3 means roll two six-sided dice and add 3 (results 5–15, average 10). 1d20 is a single twenty-sided die. Use the Dice, Die and Modifier boxes to roll any notation.
| Die | Range | Average | Each face |
|---|---|---|---|
| d4 | 1–4 | 2.5 | 25% |
| d6 | 1–6 | 3.5 | 16.7% |
| d8 | 1–8 | 4.5 | 12.5% |
| d10 | 1–10 | 5.5 | 10% |
| d12 | 1–12 | 6.5 | 8.33% |
| d20 | 1–20 | 10.5 | 5% |
| d100 | 1–100 | 50.5 | 1% |
Frequently asked questions
Is an online dice roller fair?
This one uses cryptographically secure randomness with rejection sampling, so every face is equally likely — fairer than many worn physical dice.
How many dice can I roll at once?
Up to 20 dice of the same type per roll, with an optional modifier from −99 to +99.
What does 3d6 mean?
Roll three six-sided dice and add them together. The total ranges from 3 to 18 and averages 10.5.
