Random dates in any range, in any format
This random date generator picks calendar days uniformly between a start and end date that you choose — every day in the range has the same chance. Generate up to 100 dates at once, keep only weekdays (Monday to Friday), sort them chronologically, and output them in the format you need: Monday, March 4, 2024, 03/04/2024 (US), 04/03/2024 (European) or 2024-03-04 (ISO 8601, ideal for spreadsheets and code).
People use random dates to pick a surprise date-night day, schedule random spot-checks or audits, create test data for software, choose a random birthday for a fictional character, or quiz students on days of the week (“what day was 14 July 1789?”). Dates are calculated in UTC, so time zones and daylight saving never shift a result.
How to use the Random Date Generator

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Tick “Weekdays only” and Saturdays and Sundays are skipped.
What date format should I use for Excel?
ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD) is recognised by Excel, Google Sheets and most programming languages regardless of locale.
