Fictional people for stories, personas and practice
This random person generator creates believable, entirely fictional profiles by combining independent attributes: a first and last name, an age within the range you choose, pronouns, one of thirty occupations, a US city, a birthday with its star sign, a hobby and a one-line personality. With thousands of combinations, every batch of random people feels different.
Writers use it to populate a town, UX researchers to sketch proto-personas before real interviews, teachers for role-play and language practice (“introduce this person to the class”), and developers for realistic-looking demo data. None of these people exist: they’re assembled at random, include no real personal data and no photos. Please don’t use them to impersonate anyone or deceive people. Generate a fresh batch whenever you need new faces for your project.

Frequently asked questions
Are these real people?
No. Every profile is randomly assembled from separate lists of names, jobs, cities and hobbies. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental.
Can I use this for UX personas?
It’s good for quick proto-personas and workshop exercises. Replace them with research-based personas before making product decisions.
Does it generate addresses or phone numbers?
No — to avoid creating anything that could be mistaken for real personal data, it only generates a city.
